Our story

Nearly twenty years in, still answering our own phone

Our family has worked in retail and wholesale since 2006 — general merchandise, clothing, tech, and medical supplies. Nearly two decades of learning which suppliers turn up and which ones don't, from the buying side as well as the selling side. EZETraders is the Chicago corporation we run that trade through today, incorporated in 2020 and still owned and run by the same family.

Today we concentrate on two lines rather than twenty: replacement parts and refurbished handsets for the phone repair trade, and hearing aids with the accessories that go around them. Both reward a supplier who grades honestly and ships when they said they would, and punish one who doesn't.

Hearing aids became a specialism in 2021, when the division came under a licensed Illinois hearing instrument specialist (Lic. #3614). That means the person assessing and grading our stock is the same kind of professional who ends up fitting it. We wholesale to licensed dispensers under signed documentation, and we dispense directly to patients in Illinois.

Our customers are mostly independent — single-location repair shops, small retail counters, and dispensers who don't have the buying power to get a national distributor to take their call. Having run counters ourselves, that's who we built this around.

How we work

Four things we don't compromise on

Grade it as it is

A B-grade phone is described as a B-grade phone. Talking up a unit to close one sale costs us the next ten, and it costs you a customer standing at your counter.

Answer quickly, including the noes

If we can't source something at a price that works, you hear that today — not after a week of being told it's "being checked".

Sell in the quantities you need

Minimums exist so shipping makes sense, not to push you into holding stock you'll be sitting on in six months.

Stand behind what we ship

90 days on every refurbished handset, and an RMA process that doesn't require you to prove your innocence first.

Sourcing

How we buy

We're a trading company, not a warehouse operation — and we think that's an advantage for the kind of customer we serve.

Rather than tying capital up in pallets of stock that may or may not match what you need, we source against real demand from a supply base we've qualified. That keeps our pricing competitive and means we're not trying to push last season's inventory onto you because it's sitting in a bay.

What it means in practice: lead times are quoted honestly per order, and if something is genuinely hard to get, you'll hear that rather than a vague "shipping soon".

Where we buy from: a mix of domestic distributors and trade channels we've built up since 2006, plus direct acquisition of pre-owned hearing aid stock that is assessed in-house by our licensed specialist before any of it is offered for sale. We don't name suppliers — no serious trader does — but nothing we sell comes from an anonymous listing we couldn't trace back.

Who you'll deal with

A small team, which is the point

You get the same person every time, and they know what you ordered last month. No ticket queue, no account manager who changes every quarter.

Licensed, and checkable

Our hearing aid division is run by a licensed Illinois hearing instrument specialist, licence #3614. That's a number you can verify with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation — we'd encourage it.

A real address

4836 N Cumberland Ave, Norridge, Illinois — a physical place in Cook County, not a mail drop or a virtual office. You're welcome to call the number on this site and speak to whoever picks up.

A family behind it

The same family has traded in retail and wholesale since 2006, and still owns and runs the business today. Long enough to have made the mistakes already, small enough that you still get one of us on the phone.

Check us before you send money. That goes for us and for anyone else you're thinking of buying from. Verify the licence number, call the phone number, look up the address. A supplier who objects to being checked is telling you something.

Start with one small order.

We'd rather earn the bigger one after you've seen how we grade and how fast we ship.
